Main design for remediation of the red mud pool in the Podgorica Aluminum Plant

The remediation of the red mud pool in Podgorica Aluminum Plant is carried out as part of the project of the Government of Montenegro for Industrial Waste Management and Cleaning (IWMCP) at 5 selected ecologically problematic locations in Montenegro.

The main activity of our company in this project is defined in 5 tasks as follows:

Task 1: Collection and review of available existing documentation / information, preparation of the content of project activities and preparation of the initial report;

Task 2: Detailed topographical and geodetic survey of the location with preparation of a geodetic report;

Task 3: Development of detailed geological, hydrogeological and geotechnical research projects, realization of investigative works with water and soil sampling, as well as preparation of Elaborate on detailed geological, hydrogeological and geotechnical research with chemical analyzes of sampled water and soil;

Task 4: Preparation of the conceptual project for the reconstruction of the Red Mud Basin Podgorica;

Task 5: Development of the main reconstruction project of the Red Mud Basin – Podgorica.

The main goal of this design is defining the measures for the reduction and elimination of environmental and human risk, the risk of pollutant migration and the reduction of possible future environmental problems.
